Important Information & Patient Safety

Patient safety, clinical appropriateness, and professional responsibility guide all care at Attune Medical.
This page sets out what the service is designed for, what it cannot provide, and how safety is managed.

Who this service is for

Attune Medical provides private online GP care in the UK, for non-urgent health concerns. The service is designed for people who value continuity, careful assessment, and deliberate decision-making, particularly where symptoms are ongoing, unclear, or require review over time.

Attune Medical is a private medical service and fees apply. Any fees are explained clearly before you agree to proceed with ongoing care. There is no obligation to continue beyond the initial consultation.
This service is not suitable for medical emergencies or situations requiring immediate physical examination or urgent intervention. This includes, but is not limited to, chest pain, severe shortness of breath, collapse, loss of consciousness, suspected stroke or heart attack, acute mental health crises, or rapidly worsening symptoms. If you or someone else is at immediate risk of harm, call 999. For urgent medical advice, contact NHS 111.
Attune Medical follows UK safeguarding legislation and guidance, including the Care Act 2014 and Working Together to Safeguard Children. Safeguarding is overseen by a UK-registered GP and forms part of clinical assessment, decision-making, and ongoing care, with referrals made to appropriate local services where concerns arise.
Prescribing decisions are made by a GP following appropriate assessment and clinical judgement. Prescribing practice is informed by GMC guidance, NICE guidance where applicable, and relevant UK professional standards. Prescriptions are not issued automatically, and some medications or treatments may fall outside the scope of this service.
When additional services or specialist input are needed, we support appropriate referral and coordination of care based on clinical need. Decisions to refer are made in the patient’s best interests, with attention to safety, proportionality, and appropriateness.
Where possible, you will see the same GP over time. Continuity supports safe follow-up, monitoring, and decisions made with context rather than in isolation.
Attune Medical takes confidentiality and data protection seriously. Personal data is handled in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Attune Medical is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Further details are available in the Privacy Notice on this website.
If you have concerns about your care, you are encouraged to raise them with us directly in the first instance. Information about our complaints process is available on request.
If you have additional needs that may affect your care, including accessibility or communication requirements, please let us know. We will aim to make reasonable adjustments where possible.
Care at Attune Medical is guided by professional judgement, safety, and clear boundaries. If you are unsure whether this service is suitable for your situation, an initial consultation allows us to clarify this with you.
